Bugs Fixed:
1) Dynamic URL Variables in HSM CTA Buttons : Raised by 1 NGO Udhyam
We fixed an issue where variables for dynamic URLs in HSM CTA buttons were not appearing in the Send Message node. Earlier, only placeholders from the template body were shown, even if the CTA URL had a placeholder.
Now, the Send Message node correctly displays variable fields for all placeholders, including those used in dynamic CTA URLs—ensuring smooth and complete message configuration.
2) Showing approved HSMs element name for translation:
We identified an issue where newly approved HSMs were not immediately visible in the element name dropdown while submitting translations. Even after refreshing, the list took time to update, preventing users from submitting translations in other languages right away.
This caused delays when applying the same HSM across multiple languages after the first approval.The issue has now been addressed to ensure approved HSMs appear promptly, enabling
smoother and faster multilingual submissions.
3) Add to Collection Node on Flow Import:
We identified an issue where importing a flow containing an Add to Collection node would correctly create the collection, but contacts were not added to that collection when the flow continued to the next node.
This caused flows to behave unexpectedly, even though the collection appeared in the list.
The issue has now been fixed, ensuring that contacts are properly added to the newly created collection when the flow is run after import.
New Feature/Enhancements Done:
1) Google sheet sync status:
We have revamped the Google Sheet sync logic and added UI enhancements to make tracking and debugging easier for NGOs.
- UI Updates: New sync status and failure reason columns make it simple to see if a sync failed and why.
- Backend Improvements: Media URL validation is now performed asynchronously, and failures trigger notifications to alert users immediately.
With these updates, NGOs can quickly identify issues, understand the root cause, and resolve them faster. While the documentation focuses on known failure cases and steps to fix it.
2) UI/UX Enhancements: Streamlining Actions & Layouts
This month, we made several UI/UX improvements across Glific to make the platform cleaner, more intuitive, and easier to navigate:
- Collections Page: Updated the three-dot action menu for consistency.
- HSM and Triggers Page: Added action icon for clarity.
Documentation Update:
1) HSM Templates – more than 3 Quick Reply buttons:
The HSM Templates documentation has been updated with:
- How to add 10 Quick Reply buttons with screenshots
- Clearer creation/approval and rejection handling of HSM
2) Custom Certificates :
We have expanded the Customer Certificates feature with exciting new use cases:
- Leaderboards: Showcase top performers dynamically.
- Progression Elements: Add progress bars and rings to visualize achievements and milestones.
