Bug Fixed:
- More reliable AI Assistants and Knowledge Base
We fixed a few issues that could make working with Knowledge Base files and AI Assistants confusing or unreliable.
What we fixed:
- Knowledge Base file uploads: Files with uppercase or mixed-case extensions, such as .PDF, were sometimes rejected. These files can now be uploaded correctly.
- Downloading files from older AI Assistants: The download button on some legacy assistants was not working. This has now been fixed.
- Assistant version history: Version labels were sometimes missing when viewing an assistant’s configuration history. They are now displayed correctly.
- CSV file support: We have removed CSV from the supported Knowledge Base file types because the underlying file-search tool does not support CSV files reliably. This avoids files appearing to upload successfully but not working later.
Enhancements Done:
- Coming soon: New Web Channel to reach beneficiaries beyond WhatsApp( by the end of October 2026.)
We have introduced a new Web Channel that allows organisations to connect with beneficiaries through a browser, alongside WhatsApp.
This can be useful when a beneficiary does not have access to WhatsApp but can access the internet through a browser.
With the Web Channel, beneficiaries can:
- Sign in using an OTP sent to their WhatsApp number
- Send text messages
- Share images, audio, videos and files
- Share their location
- Conversations stay within Glific
Web Channel conversations are available in the same staff inbox where your team manages WhatsApp conversations.
Your team can also filter web conversations and respond to them from the inbox.
Even better, flows can respond to messages received through the Web Channel, so organisations can use their existing Glific conversational setup for these conversations as well.
Organisations can also configure their Web Channel settings, including branding and display pictures, to create a more familiar experience for beneficiaries.
- Easier to notice AI Evaluation updates
We have added an alert badge to the AI Evaluations menu.
This helps teams quickly notice when there is an evaluation-related notification that needs their attention, especially when the notice is time-sensitive.
