Recently, we held our third cohort of the Tech4Impact Chatbot Accelerator. This event brought together 24 NGOs from various sectors, all eager to kickstart their journey with the Glific chatbot. The event was designed with a hands-on approach, where each table hosted 2-3 NGOs along with a Glific team member serving as their point of contact (POC). This setup created a collaborative and supportive environment, ensuring that everyone received the attention they needed to truly grasp the platform.

One of the best aspects of the bootcamp was the mix of engaging sessions and focused work time. The NGOs were not just passive participants, they were actively involved—asking questions, testing out ideas, and fine-tuning their chat flows. Watching them dive into the platform and seeing their enthusiasm grow as they made progress was incredibly fulfilling.

Another highlight for me was the opportunity to connect with people from various organisations like Project Second Chance, Guardians of Dreams, FIO Foundation, AAS, Gram Vikas, and FES. Hearing their stories and learning about their work was fascinating. It was insightful to see how they approach their work, the challenges they face, and the innovative ways they plan to use Glific.

I was the assigned POC for Guardians of Dreams and AAS. Guardians of Dreams is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing and transforming the quality of care in Child Care Institutions nationwide. Meanwhile, AAS is committed to fostering a child-friendly world by focusing on protection, prevention, participation, partnership, and the promotion of child rights issues.

As the POC for Guardians of Dreams and AAS I had the chance to work closely with them, helping them understand the ins and outs of the platform. Honestly, the best part was seeing the look on their faces when they finally got their chat flows working. Whether it was a small happy dance or that moment of realization when everything clicked—it was pure joy. It felt so rewarding to know that, in some small way, I was helping them move closer to their goals.

Another standout aspect was the sense of community that formed during the bootcamp. The NGOs weren’t just focused on their own progress, they were eager to help each other out, share tips, and celebrate each other’s wins. That spirit of collaboration was inspiring, and it was amazing to witness that kind of support in action.

Overall, this bootcamp was a fantastic experience—rewarding, insightful, and a perfect blend of tech, social impact, and human connection. I walked away feeling more connected to the work we’re doing at Glific and more inspired to keep pushing forward.
