Bugs Fixed: 

1) Validation of character limits for HSM template message & Interactive message

The Glific backend now validates the HSM templates, requiring the message body to be under 1024 characters and buttons under 25 characters limit.

When translating an interactive template to Hindi or another language, the character limit criteria of 1024 was getting exceeded at times.

To address this, we added a warning message. If any translation goes over the character limit, an error message will be displayed while saving the interactive message.

2) Changes the function to  Send_template message via Google Sheet

The function ColoredCow.send_template/1 was used for sending template messages via Google Sheets is no longer operational. We have introduced a new function, <%= Glific.send_template(“{uuid}”, [“{variables}”]) %>, to send template messages, and this has been updated in our existing documentation.

3) Import flow: Error Pop up

Previously, importing a flow with an existing name or keywords failed without explaining what can be the possible reason for the error.
We have now added a clear error message to specify the issue, making it easier to fix.

4) Interactive Message : Editing trimmed the message body : Raised by 1 NGO (Udhyam)

While editing an interactive message from the flow level ( edit option under the interactive message), the content of the message body was getting trimmed even if the characters were within 1024.

This issue was fixed by making changes in the Glific backend.

Enhancements Done:

1) Showing contacts who are not part of a specific collection

Under Manage >> Collection >> Add to collections  pop-up, we updated  the display so that it only shows  the contacts which are not part of the selected collection.
This enhancement has been applied to both, the WA Groups API and Contacts API.

2) Optin/Optout Dropdown

To update consent status on any user, you would have to Update Contact→Settings—>Optin/ Optout (written as text) in the flow.

We got feedback from many of the organizations that they found the term “Settings” confusing for updating consent and risked forgetting to update it.

To make it easier, we have added a new dropdown named “Consent status” (replacing “Settings”) which will further give you 2 options as a dropdown- Opt In & Opt Out. Functionality at the backend remains the same.

Please note– There wouldn’t be any issues in the flows in which you updated the consent status using “Settings” earlier. It will work fine without any issues.
