On Friday, 9th Jun 2023, I got the opportunity to attend the Glific #Bangalore city meet up, to represent Reap Benefit at the community of NGOs in the intersection using of #technology for #civic #participation #climateaction #education #earlychildhoodeducation and #skillbuilding for #Bharat
Following are the essential takeaways
- NGOs are only 1 step away from having powers of chatGPT / AI in their chatbots -> all that is needed is a relevant “knowledge base” from which we want the AI to learn from and answer – this can be as simple as a PDF document or a list of PDF documents.
- Speech to text capabilities -> NGOs can now have citizens speak to chatbots by sharing a voice note -> this can get transcribed into indic languages based on the choice of integration (ex: Navanna Tech or so on). The text output can be linked to google sheets / written to CRM etc. (cost implications are involved- based on the type of integration being used, but for a strong enough use-case to engage citizen from rural India, this can become powerful)
- Ticketing system is in the works: Imagine a young person / citizen requires the help of a mentor or help in general or is indicating certain a behavior, this can now be put as a ticket to be closed by an assigned mentor / team member. By reaching out to that contact to continue the conversation or close the loop.
Thanks to Krishna Priya DwibhashiMohd ShamoonAbhishek Nair and Erica Arya from Glific as well as Rishi Mazumdar from QUEST Alliance for hosting the #community of NGO leaders from Key Education Foundation Nayi Disha, OBLF , Udhyam Learning Foundation and Arogya World
