Bugs Fixed:

1) OTP not delivered during signups & password reset:
We identified an issue where users were not receiving the OTP while creating a new account or resetting their password. Although the send_otp API returned a success response, no WhatsApp message actually reached the user.

We updated the OTP-sending logic to ensure the correct template is triggered consistently for both new account creation and password reset.

2) Copying Triggers now works correctly:
We fixed an issue where NGOs were unable to create a trigger by copying an existing one.

Previously, when copying a trigger, the start time remained the same as the original trigger, causing a `start time should be greater than current time` error, even after adjusting the date.

Now, dates are updated correctly when a trigger is copied, allowing NGOs to save and use the new trigger without errors.

New Feature/Enhancements Done:

1) WhatsApp Forms:

WhatsApp Flows is a feature that many NGOs have been asking for quite some time now, and finally here it is in Glific. To avoid confusion with Flows in Glific, we call it WhatsApp Forms. Using WhatsApp Forms, NGOs can collect details for their use cases, create registration forms, etc. The possibilities are endless.

We just released the beta version of this feature, if anyone wants to try it out feel free to reach out to us via our Discord server.

2) UI/UX Enhancement: Provider page cleanup:
This month, we focused on simplifying and polishing the Provider page to make it cleaner and easier to navigate. As a cleaner interface reduces confusion, helps users quickly identify the providers they actually use, and aligns the page with our overall design standards.c

  • Removed unused or irrelevant providers:
OpenAI (ChatGPT) (Beta), Navana Tech, and Gupshup Enterprise.
These entries were no longer required and only added visual clutter.
  • Updated Google sheet to Google Sheet to maintain consistent camel-case formatting across all providers.

3) Upload attachment option in Interactive Message & HSM Pages:
We have enabled direct attachment uploads in the Interactive Message and HSM pages.

NGOs can now easily upload files from their computer while creating interactive and HSM messages.

4) Show error reason in WhatsApp Group messages:
We have improved visibility for WhatsApp Group messages by now displaying error reasons for messages that fail to send.

Previously, error details were not visible making it harder for NGOs to identify issues in group messages.

With this enhancement, errors are now clearly shown under each group message, enabling faster debugging and fixing.

5) Subtext added in HSM applying page under element name:
We have added a subtext below the Element name in the HSM applying page:
Only lowercase alphanumeric characters and underscores are allowed

This helps NGOs to enter valid names correctly and reduces errors while creating HSM elements.

Documentation Update:

Existing Documentation Revamped:

1) Send the contact a message:
We have updated the reference links in the messaging flow actions section so that NGOs can easily access the most current and accurate resources. This will help everyone is referring to up-to-date documentation.

2) Predefined Contact Variables in Glific:
Updated documentation on predefined contact variables, including Consent Status and opt-in functionality with their boolean values. Also added info on where these variables can be used within the system. Please do read here.
