Bugs Fixed:

1) Improvement in PDF Attachments for HSM Messages:

Earlier, whenever we sent an HSM message with a PDF attachment, the file appeared in WhatsApp as untitled, since there was no option to give the file a name.

This has now been fixed. You can add a name to the PDF file while sending, and it will show correctly in WhatsApp

2) Resolving Google Workspace Integration Issues in Glific:

We had encountered an issue with our Google Workspace integrations, specifically with Google Sheets and Google Slides, which relied on Drive and Slides APIs. Due to recent changes, new service accounts were unable to write to Google Sheets or copy files to Drive, which posed a challenge for new users trying to access these features.

To resolve this, we investigated the problem and found a solution to re-enable the use of service accounts for these APIs, ensuring seamless functionality for new users. By addressing this, we have restored full access to Google Sheets and Drive features, ensuring new users can continue to use these tools without disruption.

New Feature/Enhancements Done:

1) Migration from Threads API to Responses API :

This month, we made an important update in how Glific interacts with OpenAI. We have switched from the Threads API to the Responses API.

Why this matters:

  • The Responses API is more stable and better aligned with the future direction of LLM providers.
  • It offers improved handling of requests and responses, ensuring better reliability.
  • Since this migration changes the way the LLM returns outputs, you may notice slight differences in the responses compared to earlier.

This change is part of our ongoing work to standardize all AI-related features in Glific and ensure smoother integrations as we expand capabilities like FileSearch GPT, GPT Vision, and Parse GPT.

Documentation Update:

New Documentation Added:

1) How to set up icebreakers by Meta:

Added a comprehensive guide for setting up WhatsApp icebreakers in Meta Business Manager. It includes prerequisites, step-by-step configuration, tips for crafting effective icebreakers, details on how icebreakers behave within chat flows, and practical examples for sharing via links and QR codes. Read more about it here.

Existing Documentation revamped:

1) Custom Certificate: Recommended Way to Use Service Account:

Updated the Custom Certificates documentation to include a new Google Slides setup step: create slides in a Shared Drive folder and share that folder with the service account, granting Content Manager access. This clarifies permissions requirements, helping prevent access errors and ensuring smoother certificate generation workflows for users integrating with Google
Slides.

2) Flow Auto Translate:

Added Multilingual Flow Setup with Auto Translation automatic in-flow translation, export-with-auto-translate, export translations, and import translations.
Please read the detailed documentation here

3) Collections :
